Kubica sets the pace in Australian GP Practice 1

Kubica sets the early pace at the Australian Grand PrixRobert Kubica and Renault are off a good start at the 2010 Australian Grand Prix setting the fastest time in Friday’s opening practice session. Kubica was the only driver to beat the 1m 27s mark when he set a time of 1m 26.927s in his Renault R30.

Next best were Nico Rosberg for Mercedes GP and Jenson Button in the McLaren.

During the session there were two red flags, both caused by Kamui Kobayashi in the BMW Sauber. The first incident happened after he lost his front wing after clipping a marker cone and in the second incident his replacement front wing detached and littered the track with debris.
