The 11th round of the 2010 F1 World Championship Series went ahead over the weekend in the form of the 2010 German Grand Prix, and taking place at the Hockenheimring saw a huge upset as the second half of the season went underway.

The German GP victory is his second this season – although the first since the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix right back at the beginning of the year, and sees him edge closer to the top four on the overall scoreboard.
The victory was made all the more sweet with teammate Felipe Massa coming in second, giving the Ferrari crew its first one-two win of the season.
Sebastian Vettel went into the fixture as the favourite ($2.62) to claim the win, and while he took pole position in the qualifying session could not deliver and so rounded out the podium in third place.
It was a disappointing result for the Red Bull driver as his home town Heppeheim is just a short distance away, and fans were certainly not given a show by the dual Grand Prix winner.
McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton retained his position at the top of the driver’s ladder after finishing in fourth place, and needs to improve the next time he hits the track with just a 14 point margin between him and second place.
Hamilton’s teammate and defending champion Jenson Button came in a disappointing fifth place although was one ahead of rival Mark Webber, despite both heading to Germany as odds-on favourites for the win.
With the dominance the Red Bull and McLaren drivers have had over the season thus far, punters who wagered on Ferrari to emerge from the event as the winning constructors would have been ecstatic if they put down a fair amount with the odds at $5.50.
